WUNDERKIND - FIRST STORYBOARD
This is my first storyboard for my animation. I am overall happy with the plot and story, but some parts I feel may be repetitive after drawing it out. I wanted there to be a lot of focus on the lab/ creating scene as this is the part in the film which his intelligence is shown the most, so I tried to use a variety of shot types and transitions. I also haven't decided whether or not to add colour to the characters or treat.
Hey Liv - well done of thrashing this out so promptly. I have a question for you in terms of your ACT 1... how do we know that your wunderkind is a whizz at science or indeed that your story is set in a school? You start things off with that nice close-up of him pushing up his glasses, but why not start your story with him in the school lab, looking at his chemistry books; this way you could show us his exercise book full of gold stars or commendations; this way you could show us that he's working on something for an 'early scholarship to University' etc... at the moment, the first time we understand he's a science boffin is after he's bullied, and even then we might think that he's just going in there 'for the first time'... Look at your Act 1 - I think your audience is missing some information at the moment.
