WUNDERKIND - ANIMATIC FIRST DRAFT
This is the first draft for my animatic, it is 2:42 minutes long which is a lot over the 2 minute guideline we were given. I need to find music to add it, and will need to shorten it. An feedback or suggestions would be great!
Hey Liv - okay, so I think in terms of run time, you could cut the first bullying scene in the lab; your story will still make sense if we meet the bully for the first time in the canteen. Just use those opening scenes to establish the boy's boffin-status. I also think you could accelerate the chemistry montage in Act 3 - make it punchier and more rapid-fire. You can cut the shot at around 2:21 when we see the boy walk left>right across the screen - instead just cut from the shot of the bully to the shot where the boy enters left and sits down. I also think you could slim down all your fade to blacks etc and get into the next shot more promptly. I reckon you could get it down to 2 mins 10sec or thereabouts this way.
